Certification

CSI recognizes individuals who demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of and expertise in CSI’s standard formats. CSI recognizes excellence in four areas of expertise.

Construction Documents Technology (CDT): Mastering the fundamentals and formats of construction documents. After becoming a CDT, an individual may pursue recognition in a specific field.

Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) for written excellence in specifications preparation.

Certified Construction Product Representative (CCPR) for those proficient at supplying specifiers and contractors with information, products, and materials or substitution solutions.

Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA) for those who excel in overseeing the contract administration process.

Why Get Certified? Upon successful completion of the examination, you will receive industry-wide recognition as a competent and dedicated professional, experience greater self-confidence and self-assurance. Your employer will receive a letter from the President of the Institute recognizing your efforts in preparing for and passing the examination.
